Geospatial Research Ltd. was founded in 2004 as a Spin-Out company based in Durham University. Our remit is to commercialise ground-breaking R&D in the use of geospatial technologies to solve geoscientific problems.

GRL specialises in leading edge research and commercial application of innovative methods for acquisition, visualisation and analysis of geospatial data. By maintaining close ties with our origins in the Department of Earth Sciences at Durham University, we are ideally positioned to bridge the gap between academic research and commercial development.

Since start-up in 2004, GRL has become firmly established with steady financial growth, gradually expanding staff, and an ever increasing client base comprised of both SME's and multi-national companies. We have a very high rate of client satisfaction - over 90% of our income is derived from repeat sales from existing clients.

Although we maintain very close links with the scientific research environment in Durham, GRL is an independant commercial business entity.
